Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Coren, operated by The Hiwat Group SL. The general Hiwat Group terms are at thehiwatgroup.com. The Coren-specific points below take precedence for the Coren product.

What Coren is

Coren is a financial-literacy product for families. It teaches children about earning, saving, spending, borrowing, and investing through a virtual coin economy and educational missions. Coren does not move real money. Coren is not a bank, not a payment processor, and not regulated as a financial institution.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account.
• Each child profile is created by you (the parent or legal guardian) under your account.
• You provide parental consent for the processing of your child's data on the consent screen.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and the household PIN safe.

Subscriptions and billing

Coren has a free tier and two paid tiers (Family at €4.99/month and Family+ at €8.99/month, with annual options). Billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel any time via Settings → Plans → Manage subscription. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not refund partial months unless required by law.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Coren for anything other than family financial education.
• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, RLS, or rate limits.
• Do not impersonate another user or create fake accounts.
• Do not upload content that is illegal, offensive, or violates intellectual property rights.

Virtual coin economy

Coren coins are a fictional currency used inside the app for educational purposes. Coins have no real-world monetary value. Coins cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or withdrawn. Pet care, store purchases, savings interest, loans, and home buying inside Coren are simulations.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coren is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid for subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

Termination

You may delete your account and all child profiles at any time via Settings → Data erasure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. Upon termination, we delete your data per the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced via email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Coren after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Spain, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.
